Health Workshops:
Each month we offer workshops covering topics such as diabetes, healthy eating, breast exams, and sexual health. Outside providers such as Children’s Hospital, the Whitman Walker Clinic, and Howard University come to our properties for workshops.

Arts and Crafts:
Weekly classes in beading, flower arranging, and small projects. The seniors who participate in this program have turned it into a micro-finance project by selling their crafts and using the profits to finance the purchase of their materials.

Computer Literacy Training:
Weekly computer training classes are offered in our computer lab
Residents have the opportunity to learn basic computer skills, Microsoft office suite, and receive assistance with job searches and resume writing.

Senior Cafe/Sister Circle:
Seniors are invited to come together every week for some kind of community event. Most Cafe's feature an activity and refreshments and we invite a local vendor to come talk about the services that their organization offers to seniors. The program offers support and companionship for all who wish to take part.

Food Assistance Program:
Through our partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank, we are able to offer our seniors bags of free food each month through the Brown Bag Program. Hot meals are also provided through DC Central Kitchen for specific education based programs.

Field Trips:
The seniors of our community have put together a list of places and experiences that are otherwise inaccessible to them. Seniors go on trips to places such as the Frederick Douglass House, the Smithsonian Museums, a local farm, and the Baltimore Aquarium.

Movie Days/Game Days:
Each month we sponsor several events featuring a movie or game day in our community center.
